According to a TOI report, sidelined AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala, who's presently serving jail time for her conviction in the disproportionate assets case, has been passing her time in the Bengaluru jail by learning Kannada and basics of computers, along with Ilavavarasi who has also been convicted in the case.
The AIADMK on Wednesday has released a list of spokespersons which includes former ministers C Ponnaiyan, B Valarmathi, S Gokula Indira and Vaigai Selvan. In the wake of recent series of removal of his supporters from AIADMK, sidelined AIADMK deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran has planned to launch a new outfit, suggests a report by Puthiya Thalaimurai TV. Dhinakaran, who recorded a huge win in the RK Nagar bypoll reportedly took this decision at a meeting with his supporters in his house on Friday. The removed functionaries will be given new responsibilities in the new forum to be launched, the report further suggested.
Tamil Nadu Revenue Minister R B Udhayakumar alleged that TTV Dhinakaran is the reason behind all confusions in AIADMK. Ruling AIADMK, in a press release, on Thursday said that 44 party functionaries are removed from their primary party membership and party positions while asking the party members not to have any contacts with them. The release also stated that EA Rathinasabapathi, party functionary from Pudukottai, and R Balasubramani, party functionary from Vellore, are relieved from their party positions.
According to reports on The New Indian Express, senior MP Anwar Raajhaa of Ramanathapuram constituency who will represent AIADMK in the Parliament will be opposing the current Triple Talaq bill. According to reports, sidelined AIADMK deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran will be sworn in as the Member of Legislative Assembly in Tamil Nadu on December 29. AIADMK senior leader Madhusudhanan on Tuesday reportedly filed a petition at the party headquarters in Royapettah to contest to RK Nagar bypoll. The party, at a meeting on Monday, said those who want to contest the bypoll can submit their petition on November 27 and 28. The candidate for the bypoll will be announced on November 29, the party had decided.
