EPS OR OPS? MEETING TO PUSH FOR SINGLE LEADER FOR ADMK?

The first meeting of AIADMK’s district secretaries after the party’s defeat in  Lok Sabha elections has begun amid a growing chorus within the party for a unitary leadership, reports News 18.

The power is divided currently between co-ordinator O Paneerselvam and CM and co-ordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami as there is no General Secretary for the party.

But there has been a chorus in the cadre that a single leadership is required. The meeting is also likely to decide on dates for general body meeting.

After the defeat in Lok Sabha polls, the dissent is growing in the party. he party also missed out on being a part of the Narendra Modi government due to its internal struggle, which saw EPS seeking cabinet berth for a senior Rajya Sabha member, while OPS was trying hard to get a seat for his son.
