AIADMK UNVEILS NEW REPLACEMENT STATUE OF J JAYALALITHAA

AIADMK unveiled the new, replacement statue of former Chief Minister and party chief J Jayalalithaa at its headquarters in Chennai on Wednesday.

The bronze statue of the former CM came as a relief to party workers following the grave failure earlier this year. AIADMK had already unveiled a statue of Jaya in February. However, the statue bore no resemblance to the late CM.

Following heavy criticism and ridicule, AIADMK removed the statue and work for a new statue was commissioned. The statue was unveiled by CM Edappadi Palaniswami and deputy CM O Panneerselvam.
