Rajinikanth questions why EPS didn\'t turn up for Karunanidhi farewell

Speaking at a Nadigar Sangam meeting to condole passing away of former five-time Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, actor-politician Rajinikanth questioned about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami's absence at the latter's farewell.

"Why weren't you there? You are not MGR or Jayalalithaa to not be there. Had you denied space for Kalaignar to rest at Marina, even I would have joined the protest," Rajinikanth was quoted as saying.

The Tamil Nadu government had initially denied a resting space for Kalaignar at Marina post which the DMK took the matter to the court and got a positive response.
