RAJINIKANTH, MAMATA BANERJEE AND POLITICAL LEADERS VISIT GOPALAPURAM TO PAY HOMAGE TO KARUNANIDHI

DMK leader M Karunanidhi's demise after 11 days of hospitalization has saddened the entire party cadres. Thousands of partymen stayed day and night outside the Kauvery Hospital with a lot of hopes praying for their leader, but unfortunately, the patriarch breathed his last on Tuesday, 6:10 pm.

His mortal remains are now kept at his Gopalapuram residence for relatives to pay their last respects. Leaders from different political parties and states are expected to come to Chennai. Rajinikanth and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid homage to Dr. Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence.

Other leaders Anbazhagan, Thirumavalavan, Thirunavakarasar, Mutharasan were seen paying their homage to the great Tamil leader along with the partymen. The Centre earlier today has announced one day of national mourning with flags across India to be flown at half mast.
