Deepa Mehata's "Water" has made it to the final rounds of the Oscars. But the sad part is "Water" is a nomination representing Canada and not India. Readers would remember that the shoots of this movie was disrupted in India and the crew had to shift the locations to other parts of the world.
Now that the movie has made it to the final rounds, actor John Abraham left for US to be part of the mega event. In "Water" John plays the role of a young man who wants to marry a widow. The movie, critics say could be the dark horse in the final rounds and could run away with the honors.
Now there seems to be a talk in the media on the attire that John would wear on the Oscars day. There was a hue and cry on the outfits of Aiswarya Rai when she went to Cairns film festival. There were some section that felt being let down by her attire. "what she wore was not Indian" they said. "I would be completely Indian in my outfits" said John in a press meet.
Noted designer Manish Malhotra is said to have designed John's Oscar outfit. Even his beard was not left behind. Some wanted him to be clean shaven and others wanted him not to. But John had already trimmed his long hair. It is also learnt that John is accompanied by his mother to the Oscars. When everyone thought it would be his long time girl friend Bipasha Basu who would be seated beside him, this comes as a surprise but a pleasant one.
