Vijay TV has a strong presence in the Tamil program software. The satellite channel has a good mix of films, film songs and reviews and other film-based programs. A popular program is hosted by

cartoonist turned movie critic, Madhan. His interviews with leading film personalities remind one of the Rendezvous with Simi Garewal on Star World. In a recent program he held a tete-e-tete with the current star, Surya. Son of veteran actor, Sivakumar, Surya also known as Saravanan, gave a sneak peek into his life and times. Madhan’s freewheeling style added to the appeal. Surya touched upon initial stages of his career and the current success that he is enjoying. He also disclosed his secret wish of playing a superhuman character like Batman and Superman.
