Rajinikanth
is not a prolific
orator but he is never
short of anecdotes.
This was quite evident
at the Chandramukhi
celebrations held
recently. He highlighted
two important incidents.
The first relates
to his relationship
with Chevalier Sivaji
Ganesan. Rajini said
that the legendary
thespian knew only
work, work and more
work. He had his brother,
Shanmugam to manage
his affairs and wife
Kamala
to run his home. So,
he was free to do acting
and he knew no rest.
This also told upon
his health. But, he
praised Rajini for doing
only one or two films
a year not minding about
image or fan following.
Rajini said that Sivaji
reportedly lamented
that he himself could
not do so. The second
incident related to
his spiritual pursuits.
He put to rest all criticism
by saying that he followed
spirituality to be at
peace with himself.
He sincerely believed
in the power of his
spiritual guru and that
was the secret of his
success.
