Usman Khwaja dismisses Kohli with a screaming one handed catch

Day 1 of the first Test between India and Australia is currently underway. India, who opted to bat first are not having the best of times as the openers were dismissed early in the game.

Skipper Virat Kohli too suffered a rare failure as he was dismissed for just 3 runs. The 30-year-old came out to bat after India lost quick wickets of KL Rahul and Murali Vijay. India had lost both their openers inside seven overs and Kohli was expected to continue his Test run. He looked confident at the start and was standing outside his crease to cut the swing.

The incident occurred when Kohli was playing a delivery by Pat Cummins. The 30-year-old attempted a drive but was beaten by Cummins' full length delivery that was a little wide of the off stump. Kohli drove hard and the ball flew to the left of Usman Khawaja, who was stationed in the gully area.

Khawaja flew to the ball and took an absolute screamer that was travelling at a lightning speed. Kohli, who could not manage to score big, was visibly stunned by the one-handed catch.

Earlier, Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat in the first Test of the four-match series. India headed for the lunch break with a score of 56/4
