Rishabh Pant breaks MS Dhoni\'s record enroute debut ton

Rishabh Pant has broken former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's record during the fourth innings of the fifth Test against England. On the course of hitting his debut century, he broke the record for the highest score by an Indian wicketkeeper-batsman in England in a Test

The record was held by MS Dhoni, who scored 76* runs against England at Lords in 2007. After 11 years, this record has now been broken.

Pant played with immense skill and patience to bring up his maiden Test century. By virtue of this ton, Pant has now become the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a Test century in England.

Pant's knock has come at a crucial time as at one stage, India were five down at a score of 121. A defeat in the Test was hanging over India but Rishabh and KL Rahul have done their bit to delay a win for the English.
