WATCH - BJP DEPUTY SPEAKER FALLS OFF ELEPHANT

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member fell off an elephant during a procession organised by his supporters. The BJP legislator was recently appointed as the deputy speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.

The incident took place on Saturday when Kripanath Mallah was on his first visit to Ratabari after elected as the deputy speaker. Mallah sat on the elephant following which the animal lost control. This caused the deputy speaker to slide off and fall down.

Reportedly, Mallah was uninjured. A video of the incident shows Mallah getting up and having a good laugh.
