Surya has wrapped up Jillendru Ou
Kadhal. The film is set for a July
release. But the young hero is already
on mission mode having started work
on Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikkalam being
produced by Lakshmi Productions.
The film was announced quite some
time ago, but has been put on the
back burner due to Surya’s
Gajini and Aaru commitments. Surya
had wanted a real scorcher as the
heroine in Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam
and requested the producers to approach
the high profile model, Deepika
Padukone.

Young Deepika who created headlines
last year by working for leading
designers had turned down film offers
from Manirathnam’s Aydha Ezhuthu
to the recent Bheema with Vikram.
She is the daughter of ace badminton
star, Prakash Padukone. She is at
present eyeing the ramps abroad
and would like to be a model for
as long as possible. Films are not
definitely in her scheme of things.
Will the chance to pair with Surya
make her change her mind?

After
Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam , Surya’s
next film would be Sarvam. This film would
be directed by Vishnuvardhan. The heroine
for this film would be the current heartthrob
of Tollywood, Ileana. While she lost the
chance to work in the Tamil version of Pokkiri
in which she was the heroine, Ileana is
hopeful that Sarvam would bring her good
tidings in Kollywood. |
