She sent a letter to NCW chairperson,
Dr. Girija Vyas, seeking her ‘moral
support’. In her letter Shilpa
said that the alleged still was
from a Kannada film which had been
cleared by the Censor Board and
that her consent was not obtained
by the magazine before publishing
it. She claimed that she could not
be held responsible for acts done
without her consent. Besides, it
would only be proper to proceed
against the producer.
