Audio release: Kamal insists on respecting
the Protectors!! |

The
audio release event of Aran, a movie made
by Super Good Films, produced simultaneously
in Malayalam and Tamil, was held at Prasad
Labs, Vadapalani in a very simple but impressive
style.

Kamal Hassan was the Chief Guest
and released the audio and Sandhya
and Simbu received the first copy.
Director KS Ravikumar, R B Chaudhary,
Jitthan Ramesh, Music Director Joshua
Sridhar were also present at the
event. Sandhya was smiling and chatting
with everyone.
Kamal on his speech insisted that
Army shouldn’t be taken for
granted and urged the need of respecting
the Army servants.

The
movie is directed by Major Ravi, a man who
had served as a commando in the Indian Armed
Forces. Ravi had worked as an associate
with Priya Darshan, Manirathnam and Raj
Kumar Santhoshi. He is known for his expertise
in laying the backdrop for battle scenes. |

Does the movie have anything to
do with terrorism and patriotism?
It is anybody’s guess. Cameraperson
Thiru handles cinematography while
Joshua Sridhar scores the music.
Sets are designed by Gokul and choreography
is looked after by Shakthi.
A major portion of the film has
already been shot in Kashmir, in
areas like Gulmarg and Sri Nagar
under tight security. Some action
scenes are now being shot at Ottapaalam
in Kerala.

The movie is expected to release some time
in July.
The cast of the film includes Mohanalal,
Jeeva, Gopika, Lakshmi Gopalsamy, Reema
Sen, Biju Menon, Shammi Thilagan, Hanifa,
Shweta Menon, Ramesh Khanna, Ganja Karuppu,
Delhi Ganesh, Innocent and Nawab, an actor
from Mumbai. |
