Action
King Arjun's new movie Vaathiyar has officially
hit the floors today. The launch ceremony
was held with much aplomb at the old Pillaiyar
Koil in AVM Studios. |

This
is Arjun's film after the film Madarasi,
that bombed at the box office.
Vaathiyar is being produced by AP
Film Garden's V Palanivel and AC
Anandan (who was once Arjun's associate)
and A Venkatesh will be calling
the shots for this film. A Venkatesh
has quite the reputation of being
the man behind absolute Masala movies,
so one can guess what Vaathiyar
is going to be like!

Iman will be donning the role of music director
while Gopinath handles the camera and V
T Vijayan will be looking after the editing
of the film. This film has Arjun playing
the role of a lecturer, and it is said that
five new faces in the roles of villains
are being introduced. Tulip Joshi, aka Anjali
plays the lead opposite Arjun. Tulip has
been a part of Yash Chopra's ventures before,
so we have another beauty from the North
entering the field.

Despite
the fact that the movie hit the floors
only today, the production house was
able to sell the film in many primary
areas, all thanks to the power of
an Arjun starrer. The film is slated
for a Deepavali release.
Kaadhal Sandhya who was there, looked
stunning and caught everyone's attention.
