Tamil Nadu fisheries minister D Jayakumar on Tuesday reacted to the Sanskrit song played at IIT-Madras during a Central government’s event attended by Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Pon Radhakrishnan. Stating that not playing the Tamil Anthem in the event is condemnable, the minister also condemned an IIT official’s statement to the effect that the institution is not a ‘music college’.
