MP KANIMOZHI RECEIVES BEST WOMEN PARLIAMENTARIAN AWARD

According to reports, DMK MP Kanimozhi received the Best Women Parliamentarian (Rajya Sabha) Award on Thursday from the Vice President.

The award was set up by Lokmat newspaper in 2018. Reportedly, Kanimozhi was selected earlier this week when her brother and DMK President MK Stalin was at Delhi to meet national leaders. Kanimozhi was selected by a jury headed by Murali Manohar Joshi.

Kanimozhi was presented the award by Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on December 13. After giving away the Lokmat Parliamentary Awards 2018, Naidu emphasised that the government and the opposition must not treat each other as enemies but rather as rivals so as to maintain decorum.
