Rahul Gandhi says he was not happy with death of LTTE Prabhakaran

Congress President Rahul Gandhi spoke candidly about his father's death and LTTE Chief Prabhakaran's death at the Bucerius Summer School in Hamburg, Germany on Wednesday. He explained how the death of Prabhakaran, who had arranged for his father Rajiv Gandhi's assassination did not make him happy.

He said, "I am talking actually from experience. The only way you can move forward after violence is forgiveness. There is no other way. And to forgive you have to understand what exactly happened and why it happened."  He stated that neither him nor his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was happy with the news of Prabhakaran's death.

He added, "The reason I wasn't happy was because I saw myself in his children. So, I realised, him lying there actually means that there are kids like me who are crying." Gandhi stated that the only way to fight against violence is through non-violence.
