UPPU KARUVADU SONGS REVIEW

An interesting blend between modern Jazz bass and rustic folk lead tune does make a good beginning for this album. Velmurugan's unpretentious vocals are greatly complemented by Mansi's confident rendition. However, the biggest highlight is the guitar touches and the mellowed sequencing. Karky's lyrics are peppy and trendy at the same time.

A neat trance like number sung by the versatile filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon along with Steeve Vatz, arrives next. Live drumming, meditative string layering and contemporary lyrics are laced quite effectively. The usage of classical violin is another good touch by the composer.

The finale arrives just when the album is about to take off in the form of a Hip-Hop track with queer mix of dubstep and international Rap. The metallic vocals go well with the aggressive drumming and passionate electric guitars.
