Kaadhal Nergaiyil
Singers: G.V. Prakash Kumar, Javed Ali, Shashaa
Lyrics: Kabilan

Dont Worry Be Happy
Singers: Gaana Bala, S. Chella
Lyrics: Gaana Bala

A song to lift you up is what G.V strives for here. The whistles and the pipes resonate the main chorus which is mildly entertaining even if it registers easily. The spunk that the track needs comes in the form of Gaana Bala’s lyrics which are humorous and relatable. Instrumentally, the Indian percussions show some impressive dexterity.

Rajadhi Raja
Singers: Hemachandra
Lyrics: Kabilan

It’s a feast of percussions driving this lively tune but Hemachandra, despite hitting all the right notes, sounds a tad polite for a track that demands a bit more punch. The lyrics are typical of a hero introduction song with a lot of positivity strewn through advice. The melody is uplifting but it’s the backing beat which makes the best impression.

Negizhiyinil
Singers: Haricharan, Saindhavi
Lyrics: Madhan Karky

What stands out in this tune apart from its strongly emotional melody is Madhan Karky’s penchant for writing immersive lyrics with a repertoire of interesting new vocabulary.  Saindhavi performs with a sensitivity that’s required while Haricharan chips in with his own dynamics and their partnership is quite commendable. G.V’s choice of subtle instruments like the guitar and flute reaffirm the tenderness of the situation.

Gita Verses
Singers: Haricharan
Lyrics:

Haricharan chants holy verses from the Gita over an aggressive trance beat that manages to amp up the mood and the intensity with the aid of violent strings.

Verdict: A tasteful blend of melodies.
