Directing is not an easy task. It demands lot of brainstorming sessions, homeworks and finally a well-crafted script. However, the director of Vallavan, Simbu takes it all easy. For tomorrow's shooting, the discussion starts tonight.

Simbu's gang of assistants and dad Rajender's gang gather at a hotel to discuss what is to be shot the next day. By the small hours of the morning they have a shoddy script to work on.

The producer, poor guy, is bewildered. What kind of movie will this patch work evolve into. Matters are further compounded when Simbu changes the story a bit here and a bit there. This leads to re-shooting and dumping more money. If the producer has one consolation it is the immense talent of Simbu. Manmadhan was also made in a similar fashion. Kollywood quarters feel that with such talent, if only Simbu manages to be a bit systematic, he can conquer greater heights.
