According to reports, an eight-year-old boy was found murdered in his house in Villupuram district while his mother and teenaged sister were found brutally injured. Sources allege that the girl may also have been raped. The victims were admitted to the Thirukovilur Government Hospital from where they were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital at Mundiyambakkam. The police are currently investigating the matter and have detained one person for questioning.
