THENI FOREST FIRE: DEATH TOLL RISES TO 22!

A 26-year-old woman hailing from Udumalai, who was receiving treatment at the Madurai government hospital after she was caught in the Theni forest fire on March 11, failed to respond to treatment and passed away on Tuesday. Out of the 36 people who were caught in the fire, 9 people died on the spot and 13 others died later in different hospitals, taking the death toll to 22.
