A 7-year-old girl, who was playing in the street, died after she was run over by a car in Choolaimedu, Chennai on Tuesday night. The girl Pavithra, daughter of Duraivelan and Jayanthi, was hit by the car when she was playing in the street near her home. The car was driven by Preeti from the same area, who was learning to drive the car from her husband. The girl was rushed to hospital, however, she died on the way. Police have reportedly filed a case and are investigating the matter.
