We
have known Shilpa Shetty as the modern,
suave, tall, lissome actress. Meet the other
side of her. Shilpa is also very religious
and pious. Following the footsteps of Raima
Sen and Riya Sen sisters, she recently she
visited Tirupathi not by a private aircraft
or by a car but… hold your breath...
She walked barefoot all the way from the
foothills to the top to have the darshan
of Lord Balaji.
On
her pilgrimage tour, she told that
it is a yearly ritual for her which
she has been doing for so many years.
Shilpa’s sister Shamitha would
usually accompany her during her trip
to Tirupathi but this time she could
not do it as she was shooting for
a film at South Africa. Shilpa feels
fresh, invigorated and blessed after
Balaji’s darshan.
While commenting about her alleged
Hollywood debut, she brushes its aside
with a chuckle and says that her kitty
is full right now with indigenous
assignments. Discussions are going
on for a project with Mahmood Sipra’s
Sooraj Ka Dastak with Madhuri Dixit.
But nothing concrete has come out
of it as of now.
Shilpa
has been suffering from severe mouth ulcers
these days which made it difficult for her
to speak in the first episode of the tele-serial
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa which she is doing now.
She is off to Mumabi after Tirupathi to
shoot for Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.
