Sidelined
actors’ solace in Arunkumar’s
engagement

It
seems to be season of weddings in Kollywood.
Following Surya-Jyothika’s wedding
announcement, many actors followed suit.
Veteran actor Vijaykumar’s son Arunkumar
is one among them. Arthi is the bride-to-be
for Arunkumar and is the choice of his father
Vijayakumar. She is the daughter of Dr N.S.Mohan
and holds a post-graduate degree in psychology.
The
engagement function was held in a
city hotel on Monday evening and the
function was well attended by personalities
from the Kollywood. It was also noticed
that people who were not invited for
Jo-Surya wedding attended this function
including Vikram. The wedding is scheduled
to be held on December 1st of this
year.
Arunkumar recently changed his name
to Arun Vijay, perhaps for numerological
purposes. He entered Kollywood following
the footsteps of his father Vijayakumar
with ‘Murai Maapillai’.
Though he has made his presence felt
in movies like Thulli Thirinda Kalam,
and Jananam he is yet to give a big
hit.
His
acting prowess came to the forefront in
movies like Pandavar Bhoomi, Jananam, Iyarkai.
A beaming Arunkumar said that he would like
to try varied roles in his films which would
help him quench his acting thirst. He also
is keen to do anti-hero roles wherein a
different dimension of his acting talent
can be explored. Let us hope that with his
upcoming marriage, Arunkumar signs a lot
of good and successful films much to his
liking.
