This
sure is one saga that beats all the others
for keeping us in nail-biting suspense.
After the much publicized approval by Amitabh
Bachchan to his son, Abhishek’s marriage
with former beauty queen, Aishwarya Rai,
the proposal ran into rough weather. Amitabh,
who is a believer in astrology, compared
the horoscopes of the couple and was informed
that Ash had some stellar limitations.

While her stars in the film world
did keep twinkling happily, her
constellations in the horoscope
conspired from begetting a good
husband. Worried about his son’s
future, Amitabh wanted to know whether
there was any method to propitiate
the Gods. Yes he was told but the
suggestion got a cold shoulder from
Ash and her parents. Meanwhile,
Ash got busy with work and it did
seem that Abhishek would be one
more addition to her now (in)famous
list of former lovers.

| The
duo is currently shooting for Maniratnam’s
Guru in Chennai. While they were seen hanging
out together at the movies, they also quietly
paid a visit to a temple in Kanchipuram
believed to dispel the evil effects of mismatched
zodiac signs. They also slipped in together
at the astrologer in Bangalore who had compared
their horoscopes and spent about two hours
closeted with him. Their visit was kept
hush-hush and we could soon see the love
birds pitching from one temple to another
seeking divine intervention in helping them
tie the knot.
