When
two heroes are introduced at the same
time in the film world and when their
career happens to travel in a parallel
track, there appears to be some sort
of competition between them which
is created by the media and the fans.
This seems to have become true in
the case of Dhanush and Simbu.
These two young actors entered Kollywood at the
same time and were trying to find their mooring.
Media had created an illusionary situation which
seemed to portray a cold war kind of scenario
between Dhanush and Simbu. This was vociferously
denied by Dhanush.
Recently, he participated in the audio release
function of Jeeva starrer Pori. While speaking
in this function he said, “Most of the young
actors of Kollywood have gathered here today.
It would have been nicer if my friend Simbu was
also present today.” This statement of Dhanush
had created a ripple among the audience. He immediately
reacted to their response by saying that he and
Simbu are really good friends and call each other
‘Maamu and Machi’. The crowd seemed
to have been impressed by his rejoinder which
was received by a well round of applause.
