Hailing
from the script-dominant Malayalam
cinema, Nayan made her mark in almost
all regional languages down south
for her looks and at times with her
acting prowess. On the other hand,
she has recently expressed concern
that lead ladies are not being given
enough scope to perform in regional
movies.
The roles of heroines are limited to a couple
of duets and romantic scenes in movies, stated
Nayan in an interview in Bangalore. However, I
would want to select my roles in 2007 and make
a mark of my own with my roles, she assured. I
want to prove to the world that I am one of the
best actresses in town, she added self-assuredly.
I am analyzing my personal and professional life
these days and there is nothing in this world
that can be fulfilling to me than acting in movies,
Nayan added philosophically.
