It
is not quite easy to forget Goundamani
for once he reigned the Tamil screens
featuring in almost all the movies
for decades. His wisecracks coupled
with sidekick Senthil’s sidesplitting
comedy is regarded to be the best
in Tamil cinema. However, as time
passed by, the new bandwagon of comedians
and a split with Senthil gave Goundamani
a forced break from his career.
He was not active in the scene except for a flicker
of a role in movies such as Manmadhan and Suyechai
M.L.A. However, news has it that Goundamani is
back in the scene with his ageless vigor. He is
currently busy shooting for his Pollachi Mappillai
for which it is learnt that he has spent 36 hours
in the dubbing studio. Besides, he has Kadhal
Thiruda in the pipeline and is busy finalizing
a few projects as well.
Will the Goundamani magic work again or will it
simply be overlooked? In any case, it is worth
a comeback, as Goundar hasn’t tickled his
fans’ senses for quite a while now.
