The Lion of South, Vijayakant in recent times launched his own political party in Madurai, his native place. Busy electing representatives for his party, he made tours throughout Tamil Nadu. All of a sudden, yesterday evening he suffered from severe heart pain.

Immediately, he was admitted at Madras Medical Mission Hospital situated at Mogapaer, Chennai. He was treated instantaneously in Intensive Care Unit by a group of doctors. The doctors expecting the actor to have a block in his blood vessel have taken an angiogram test.
