Kerala, which is battling devastating floods is also seeing heart-warming acts of rescue. One such act captured on video by ANI shows a toddler being rescued by Wing Commander Prasanth of Garud Special Force of Indian Air Force from a rooftop in flood-hit town in Alappuzha.

With the death toll being pegged to be over 350, the Army, Navy and Air Force along with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are conducting rescue operations across the state.

Earlier in the day, for the first time, since August 9, a red alert that was issued to the state was withdrawn. However, a lot needs to be done concerning rescue and rehabilitation while an orange alert has been issued (indicating preparedness).
