A medical student hailing from Ramanathapuram reportedly committed suicide at his college hostel in Chandigarh, on Monday. Reports say, the boy was found hanging from the fan, when roommates grew suspicious of his absence and broke open into the room. The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained. Following this, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has announced a compensation of Rs 3 lakh to the family.
