A lemon used in ‘Mahashivarathri pooja’ at the Pazhathinni Karupannan temple in Erode district has reportedly been auctioned for Rs.7,600. The buyer of the lemon has been identified as Shanmugam from Olapalayam village. Several other items like coconuts, fruits and silver vessels used in the pooja have been purchased by devotees at the auction.
