Speaking at an AIADMK party meeting in Theni, Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam said that he agreed to merge the two warring factions of AIADMK as PM Modi had advised him to do so for the party’s good, says a PT report. “I told Prime Minister that I don’t need any ministerial positions but just a party position. However, he insisted that I also take charge as a minister, and that’s why I’m a minister today,” O Panneerselvam reportedly said.
