A large number of residents of Ward 28 in Dindigul staged a blockade on Dindigul-Natham Main Road on February 22 protesting against the irregular supply of drinking water. Normal vehicular activity on the road was disrupted for around half an hour. They dispersed after receiving assurance from the authorities that alternative arrangements for supplying drinking water would be made as soon as possible.
