A new controversy has been triggered after a Hindu devotional song was played at the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras during an event of the Central government. They played the ‘Maha Ganapathim’ song at the event attended by Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Pon Radhakrishnan on Monday. Reports suggest that a controversy erupted as to why a devotional song of a particular religion was played at the institution where students of different beliefs study.
