Tamil Nadu spinner R Ashwin was named the new captain of Kings XI Punjab on Monday ahead of 11th edition of the Indian Premier League. R Ashwin, former Chennai Super Kings player, was bought by the franchise leaving his Chennai fans shocked. The spinner, however, later tweeted, “The auction is always a house of casino, I am happy that @lionsdenkxip will be my new home and thank you so much @ChennaiIPL for all the great memories.” Virender Sehwag, in a Facebook live video, named R Ashwin as the captain of the franchise.
