Shami let access by Kolkata police after interrogation to play IPL

Indian bowler Mohammed Shami was held back and interrogated for three hours by the Kolkata police after the match with Kolkata Knight Riders on April 16. The interrogation followed after complaints of infidelity and domestic violence against him by his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan.

Shami was allowed to join his IPL team after the three-hour interrogation. The Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Praveen Tripathi reportedly said, "We have got no objection in Shami joining his IPL side. But if need be, we will call him again."
