According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed India cricketer Mohammed Shami into Grade B of annual retainers contract. Investigations by the BCCI could not prove the allegations made by Shami's wife Hasin Jahan that he was involved in match fixing. BCCI released an official statement that Neeraj Kumar, Head of BCCI Anti-Corruption Unit investigated the matters and based on his report, no action will be taken against Shami.
Mohammed Bhai, the London-based businessman who was accused of giving money to cricketer Mohammed Shami for alleged match-fixing came out in defence and said, "I don't know Alishba (The Pakistan woman who is alleged to have routed money to Shami by the latter's wife Hasin Jahan). Only after newspaper reports emerged, I heard of such a person. I have never offered money to anyone. I would never dream of cheating my country."
Cricketer Mohammad Shami's uncle Khurshid Ahmed alleged that Shami's wife Hasin Jahan was after money. "She shopped for lakhs every month and refused our offer of out of court settlement," he's reported to have said to media. Shami is in the eye of storm after his wife accused him of match-fixing and extra-marital affairs.
Earlier, cricketer Mohammad Shami's wife Hasin Jahan claimed that a Pakistani woman named Alishba had offered money to her estranged spouse, reportedly from a businessman from England, for match-fixing. Countering the allegation, Alishba said, "I am just a fan of Mohammad Bhai and once had dined with him. Nothing more."
Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, who was recently accused of domestic violence, infidelity and match-fixing by his wife, denied all these allegations and claimed that he was being defamed without any proper evidence. "I have not eaten properly and the cricket practice has also come to a standstill. I want all the allegations against me to be investigated thoroughly," he reportedly said.
The Indian cricket board's anti-corruption wing’s officials on Saturday spoke to Mohammad Shami's wife Hasin Jahan over the player’s alleged involvement in match-fixing. According to media reports, Hasin Jahan submitted documents about Shami’s alleged meeting with a woman in Dubai, who was supposed to give him money sent by another person from Britain.
Cricketer Mohammad Shami who is presently in the eye of the storm for alleged match-fixing and domestic abuse charges has apparently slammed his wife Hasin Jahan's charge that his brother had tried to sexually assault her. Coming to his brother's defence, Shami said that his brother didn't even come into the picture and added that he had proof that his wife's allegations were false. He also reportedly told India Today, that all hopes of reuniting with his wife were over.
Mohammed Shami's wife Hasin Jahan submitted documents against her husband to the chairman of BCCI's Committee of Administrators, Vinod Rai on Thursday. She allegedly sent the documents so that a probe can be issued against Shami. Hasin's lawyer reportedly said, "We have sent the details of the complaint that was lodged at Lalbazar (Kolkata Police headquarters) and the copy of the FIR to Vinod Rai."

This unexpected tweet on Monday evening left many touched on social media. Notably, his wife had accused Shami of involving in match-fixing and having extramarital affairs. Following which, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has also withheld his contract.

Brushing off allegations made against him, Indian cricketer, Mohammed Shami on Sunday reportedly demanded a thorough investigation on the allegations made against him by his wife Hasin Jahan. He reportedly said, “There have been many accusations which are increasing day-by-day. I don't want to give an explanation about it and I want it to be investigated thoroughly.” His wife on March 7 alleged that she was physically and mentally abused by the cricketer.
