Team India captain Virat Kohli, who is back on the field playing for the first Test between India and Bangladesh at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, won hearts in the very first game.

Virat Kohli Asks Crowd To Cheer For Mohammed Shami Not Him

Bowler Mohammed Shami, who performed exceptionally well was happily greeted and hugged by Virat on the field. During the match, Virat instantly won hearts after videos of him asking the Indore crowd to clap for Mohammed Shami instead of him.

As soon as the crowd cheered for Shami, those magic words worked and he struck on the very next ball, castling Mushfiqur Rahim down for 43 on the fifth ball of the 54th over.

Minutes later, Shami took Mehidy Hasan wicket for a duck in the next delivery which helped India reduce Bangladesh to 140/7 at tea. It was not just Shami, who ruled the match while Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets each.

During the beginning of the match, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first in Indore.
