Nine die while trying to save pets during Kerala Floods

Wednesday was a tragic day in Malappuram, Kerala with 12 deaths in just two hours. The most shocking incident happened near Peringavu, where a family of nine members died during a landslip.

The family reportedly was trying to save their pets when the landslip occurred. Heavy rains had flooded the area and at around 12 am, the family tried to take the pets to safety. The victims were not staying at the house and were requested to take the animals from the poultry farm attached to the house to safety by their relatives.

The victims reached the house and attempted to move the animals when the accident happened. It reportedly took the Army several hours to recover their bodies from the debris.
