The Kerala State Beverages Corporation has reportedly proposed a plan to the state government to introduce liquor-vending machines outside liquor shops to reduce long queues. If implemented, customers can deposit money and can access liquor bottles on their own. However, there will be a restriction on the number of bottles that a consumer can buy. The proposal has been made after the Kerala High Court asked KSBC to do something to end the serpentine queues outside beverage shops.
