HC questions Centre on what it has done for unemployed engineering graduates

The Madras High Court reportedly questioned the Union Ministry of Human Resources and Development on what scheme has been made available to deal with unemployed engineering graduates of the country. Justice N Kirubakaran also directed the All India Council for Technical Education to file a report on the number of engineering colleges in the country, students admitted and their employability. The judge wanted the AICTE to answer by November 7 if there is any need to shut down surplus institutions.
