A question about the Varna system in the question paper for CBSE class VI students has created a controversy. The Social Science question paper had the objective type question “The lowest caste in the Varna system was….” and had four options to choose “a)Brahmana b)shudra c)kshatriya d)vanaprastha.” The question has drawn criticism that the RSS educationalists have created such a syllabus.
