It
might sound a bit premature, but the Vettaiyaadu
Vilaiyaadu (VV) team celebrated the success
of the movie in the city recently. There
might be aspersions as to whether the movie
really is a big hit.
The
movie opened to mixed response across
the state with many accusing the movie
of a Kakka Kakka hangover. In spite
of all this the movie has managed
to sustain itself and now seems to
be on the road to becoming a hit.
The party was held on the same day
as the Surya-Jyothika wedding in the
same hotel, right after the wedding
ceremony concluded. The party which
started late in the evening reportedly
went on into the wee hours with some
of the big names in the industry and
VV crew members making their presence
felt at different times.
Normally,
celebrations are held to mark 100 days or
more of a movie, then why this party even
before the movie crosses 30 days in theaters.
Maybe the unit is not confident of whether
the movie will make it to the 100-day mark,
especially with Diwali approaching. Maybe
they thought it better to have the bash
earlier than never have it at all. Also
the bash might have been held to celebrate
the release of the movie rather than it’s
success, after all the release of the movie
happened after nearly a 6 month long ordeal.
