Veteran director, Iyakkunar Sigaram K Balachander is making a sequel to his two decades old hit, Manmadha Leelai. For the lead role, which in the first part was played by Kamalhassan, the auteur invited Dhanush. At first Dhanush did not know what the movie would be or what his role would be. However, when he met the director and heard the story, he was aghast. No he was not interested in the role. He had an image to guard and he had a wife!
