The Jambhavan episode has been raging on for
a month now with claims and counterclaims. The
heroine, Nila, left the shooting spot at Courtallam
without informing anyone. She complained of
ill treatment and harassment by the producers.
She started working in another Telugu film and
said that she would return only if the producers,
Raja and Sathya, apologized to her publicly.
She went back home to Delhi. After intervention
by hero Prashanth’s father, Thiagarajan,
Nila announced that she had received the letter
of apology from Raja. Thiagarajan also called
for a press conference in which the producer
was also present. A four-page statement of apology
was also circulated. He regretted the whole
set of events and said that being first-time
producers, they were somewhat overwhelmed. He
promised all cooperation to Nila and ensured
that the film would be completed without any
further glitches. Amen to that!
