Captain’s election express ‘Sudesi’ picks up!
March 15, 2006

Vijayakanth

The timing of release of Vijaykanth’s Sudesi was right. With elections in Tamil Nadu set for May 8th, the captain, it seems, has sent Sudesi as a vanguard of what he could do for the people. It is the story of a leader bring who social changes into his country.
Though a bad performer in Cities, the movie has picked up momentum in towns and villages, the real election base. Director JP (read Jaya Prakash) is happy that his dreams have come true. Three years back, he evolved the story for Vijaykanth, and the way he traveled, convincing the hero, scripting it for screen and getting dialogue with lot of powder, is long.
Can all the moviegoers be converted to supporters of a party? That’s a long shot but still, the captain can manage to pull off some fast ones.
