Gautham Menon’s next project is Parunthu, (temporarily titled Vilai Uyirendralum) which has Sarath Kumar and Jyothika in the lead. Award winning actress Shobana had been projected for an important role. However, the news now is that she is out of the project and Tabu would be playing that role. Shobana confirmed the news and said, “I had agreed to do the role and done some promos as well. But, now I am opting out and I’d rather not discuss the reasons”.
It is said that Tabu heard the story over phone and confirmed the dates immediately. She has close rapport with Malayalee directors, as she has done a lot of films for Priyadarshan like Kalapani, Snehidhiye and Kandu kondein for Rajiv Menon. Hope her work in Gautham’s film will also win her accolades.
